Septin9 methylation detection for colorectal cancer is a blood test for methylated septin9 gene by RT-PCR. Blood septin9 DNA methylation can be found in colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions (including polyps, adenoma),which plays a role in early detection and monitoring of recurrence of colorectal cancer. Methylation level of Septin9 gene in colorectal cancer patients is significantly higher than that in normal individuals. It is an excellent indicator for early screening and relapse monitoring of colorectal cancer.
